Position Overview

Spire Healthcare Dunedin is currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and professional Porter to join our dedicated team. This key role ensures the smooth operation of our hospital by providing essential support to staff, patients, and visitors.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, possess excellent communication skills, and maintain a calm and reassuring manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Work as a multi-skilled team member to provide high-quality support across various functions including courier, portering, theatre, cleaning, and security duties with minimal supervision.
2. Deliver excellent customer service and offer support to patients during potentially stressful times.
3. Manage post and deliveries, handle waste collection and disposal (including clinical waste), and move goods and equipment as required.
4. Perform additional tasks as requested, and be comfortable with the physical demands of the role.

Working Hours

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including some weekends.
