Qualifications

• Experience in pot wash duties is advantageous.
• Kitchen Porter experience preferred but not essential.

Kitchen Porter

Ashtead Park

Contract: , Permanent
Salary: 12.21
Hours: 40 per week

A day and boarding co-educational school for pupils from year 3 to 6th form in Ashtead Park, Surrey. Catering for 950 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of Breakfast, lunch, supper, tuckshop twice daily, 6th form café, internal and external hospitality. This is a mix of term time only, term time plus 4 weeks, and 52 weeks depending on role and operates 7 days a week. Additional benefit to this location is free parking on site.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Ashtead Park.

You'll play a key role in maintaining the kitchen's hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards.

Key skills:

• Experience of pot wash duties is advantageous
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Assist Chefs with food prep
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness at all times
• Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Use instructions and cleaning materials to clean heavy catering equipment, including air filters and extraction systems
• Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

• Kitchen Porter experience is preferred but not essential
• A can-do attitude
• Good organizational skills

Knowledge / competencies:

• Good understanding and use of verbal English
• Reasonable standard of written English and reading skills
• Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred
