Full Job Description

Job Title: Project Accountant – 12-month FTC

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid andflexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter aboutthe options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to£45,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’llbe doing:

• Responsible for the delivery of all coreproject accounting deliverables for a major element of the DreadnoughtProgramme whilst ensuring effective financial challenge, governanceand support to the programme teams
• Working with theDreadnought Project Management Organisation (PMO) lead for your areato deliver robust forecasts into the Monthly Management Reporting(MMR) process and supporting the project teams to ensure financialcommitments are met.
• Working with the Project to ensurequarterly Contract Status Reports are produced, reflecting an accuratefinancial representation of the programme.
• Continuousimprovement of financial processes/practices & governance activities
• Working with the internal and external stakeholdersincluding the MOD, Project and Commercial teams, Supply Chain teamsand Central Finance regularly

Your skills andexperiences:

• Part QualifiedAccountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or equivalent
• Accountingand financial management experience, working in a variety of rolesincluding working within a project finance environment
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel and other MS packages
• Understanding of business and financialmodelling experience
• Experience of influencing acrossfunctions and hierarchies
• Experience within a similarDefence environment/role would be highly advantageous

TheDreadnought Project Accounting Centre provides the opportunity to workacross the Dreadnought programme in support of your careerdevelopment. This exciting finance role provides the opportunity tomanage various financial aspects of the programmes, with the aim thatyou experience all core project accounting roles and processes.
