Job description

Idex Consulting is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee a team of 30 operational staff within an IFA Practice.

The Practice Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading administration and paraplanning teams to support advisers, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, and enhancing operational efficiency.

The role requires implementing excellent performance and production management practices, maintaining diligence, and demonstrating the ability to multi-task, delegate effectively, and prioritize workload.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as the first-line leader in the Advice Operations function, ensuring outstanding service delivery to clients and Financial Planners in accordance with policies and regulations.
  • Manage the daily operations of the business, including office systems, workflows, and client servicing.
  • Oversee administrative aspects for Financial Planners, ensuring process consistency and high-quality standards.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and optimized for efficiency.
  • Lead administrative and paraplanning teams, providing training, support, and performance reviews.
  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new staff.
  • Promote a positive and professional working environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate performance and updates, fostering transparency and inclusivity.
  • Maintain safe, efficient, and motivating working conditions.
  • Visit offices regularly to promote team engagement and collaboration.
  • Escalate client complaints or breaches promptly to Compliance, collaborating on resolutions and client remediation.
  • Analyze root causes of client dissatisfaction and implement improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive client information in the back-office system.
  • Manage data control reports to address exceptions and prevent issues.
  • Conduct quality assessments of team work to ensure accurate reporting and management information.
  • Monitor and report team performance, highlighting errors or omissions for escalation.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior leaders as needed.
  • Participate in meetings, team events, and projects.
  • Promote organizational values and principles.
  • Partner with the M&A team to facilitate seamless transitions of acquisitions into BAU.
