Job summary

Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd. in Biggleswade is seeking a Workshop Team Leader for the Earthmoving workshop. You will lead engineers and apprentices, ensure daily operations run smoothly, and uphold Liebherr standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Reporting to Workshop Manager, you will plan workloads, coordinate resources, support sales and after-sales, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a high standard of service and professional relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in engineering with NVQ Level 3.
• Experience leading engineers, technicians, or apprentices.
• Strong knowledge of heavy plant and earthmoving equipment.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Workshop Engineers and Apprentices.
• Mentor apprentices and ensure daily development tasks completed.
• Assist with job planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and workflow.
• Lead in preparing service quotations and workshop documentation.
• Promote health and safety culture and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate third-party contractors on-site as needed.
• Ensure all work meets Liebherr quality standards.
