An ‘outstanding’ Primary School in the Wirral, Wallasey is looking to recruit an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a young male with challenging behaviour. This is a full-time & long-term post for the whole academic year.

Job Details:

Position: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Wirral, Birkenhead
Start Date: September 2024
Contract: Long term contract
Salary: £400-£580 per week

Your Role:

1. Working across Nursery & Reception classes
2. Carrying out Phonics, Spelling, Reading & Writing Sessions
3. Assisting with general classroom duties
4. Supporting mild SEN when needed
5. Providing 1:1 and group booster sessions
6. Working 1:1 with mild SEN

Ideal Candidate:

1. Hold a Level 2 or 3 CACHE Qualification in Childcare
2. Hold a Level 6 or degree within childcare or education
3. Have an understanding of the EYFS curriculum
4. Have school-based experience ideally or have experience within private nurseries
5. Have enthusiasm about working in EYFS and with children
6. Work well as a team
7. Good communication skills
