Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting an Early Years Teacher to join schools in Hartlepool from September 2026. Long-term, full-time roles with potential for permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Whether you are an experienced EY teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you will play a key role in giving children the best start, delivering nurturing EYFS provision and strong learning through play.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within EYFS is desirable.
  • ECTs with an interest in Early Years are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning.
  • Ability to create engaging learning experiences through play.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities in line with the EYFS Framework.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating Early Years environment.
  • Support children's communication, language, physical, personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress and development.
  • Plan activities around children's individual interests, needs, and stages of development.
  • Encourage learning through play and child-led exploration.
  • Support children's independence and school readiness.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and Early Years staff.
  • Support children with additional learning needs.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice.

Early Years Teacher - Hartlepool

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Hartlepool and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

Whether you're an experienced Early Years Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) with a passion for working with young children, we'd love to hear from you. We have a range of long-term, full-time opportunities available, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You'll play a vital role in giving children the very best start to their education, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can develop their confidence, independence, communication, and early learning skills.

Key Responsibilities
