Educato Limited is helping Whitefield primary school recruit an Early Years Teacher for a long-term, full-time position starting ASAP. The role focuses on delivering engaging EYFS lessons, assessing progress and creating an inclusive, nurturing classroom where children develop independence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EYFS lessons and activities aligned with EYFS.
• Assess and track children’s progress; adapt teaching as needed.
• Create safe, inclusive, stimulating learning environments.
• Support social, emotional, communication and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support children with additional needs with SENCO collaboration.
• Promote positive behaviour and uphold Teachers’ Standards.

A warm and supportive primary school in Whitefield is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT who is passionate about providing high-quality early years education and supporting young children to achieve their full potential.

About The Role

You will take responsibility for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging Early Years lessons and activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will create a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where children feel supported, confident and encouraged to develop their independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver creative, engaging EYFS lessons and activities that meet the needs of all learners.
• Assess, monitor, and track children's progress, adapting teaching where required.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, communication and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Support children with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO and support staff.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage children to develop confidence and independence.
• Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
• Has experience teaching in a UK primary or Early Years setting (placements accepted for ECTs).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Passionate, nurturing and committed to supporting children's development.
• Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time.

Desirable (but Not Essential)

• Previous experience teaching in EYFS
• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Strong understanding of play-based learning
• Experience working within a long-term Early Years teaching role
