Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming 3-form entry primary school in Newport to recruit a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. You will support pupils across the Early Years Foundation Phase, including children with ALN, alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities and promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils in Early Years settings.
• Experience supporting children with ALN.
• Understanding of the Curriculum for Wales Foundation Phase.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proactive and caring approach to supporting learning.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the Early Years classroom.
• Deliver engaging learning activities with the class teacher.
• Support children with ALN to promote inclusion.
• Monitor progress and assist with pastoral support.
