Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is working with a large primary school in Pontypool, seeking a hands-on Teaching Assistant to support a learner with ALN. You will work 1:1 with the child, collaborating with staff to create a learning-friendly environment and celebrate small wins.

The role is full-time, 08:30 to 15:30, with a supportive team, onboarding process, and competitive pay. You will be part of a busy school community focused on inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification OR 6 month experience in an educational establishment
• Ability to use your initiative to respond to situations
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with a child that has ALN to ensure they feel supported in their learning
• Collaborate with other staff members to enhance children’s learning
• Be flexible with start and finish times (08:30–15:30) and respond to classroom needs

The primary school are looking for a hands on Teaching Assistant who’s passionate about enhancing children’s learning and works collaboratively with other staff members. The role will involve working 1:1 with a child that has ALN working alongside them ensuring they feel supported in their learning, celebrating small wins. The successful candidate will be working full time, 5 days a week and will need to be flexible starting work at 08:30am and finishing at 15:30pm.

The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification OR 6 month experience in an educational establishment


• Ability to use your initiative to respond to situations


• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
