Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is working with a mainstream Primary School in Abergavenny to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position in the Early Years provision.

The role involves general classroom support and assisting children with a variety of abilities and ALN, requiring patience, flexibility and a reliable, long-term commitment. The successful candidate will join a welcoming team, with opportunities for CPD and ongoing professional development through the My-Progression

Qualifications

• Experience working with children within an Early Years or Primary School setting.
• Experience or confidence supporting children with additional learning needs / ALN.
• A good understanding of supporting learning and development in the classroom.
• A patient and supportive approach.
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to individual children's needs.
• Reliability and the ability to commit to a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Provide general classroom support in the Early Years/Primary setting.
• Work with children with a range of abilities and ALN to support learning.
• Contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment and help children develop confidence and independence.
