Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is inviting applications for a 35-hour-per-week Early Learning and Childcare Support Worker role at Calderside Nursery Centre. The tenure is temporary for 1 year, with a salary of £25,183–£27,063 per year.

The post requires SSSc registration and relevant qualifications; support will be provided to obtain them. The role emphasises collaboration with families and professionals to deliver high-quality learning experiences and a positive, inclusive environment for children

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a professional capacity.
• Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents/carers and team members.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Describing how to support distressed behaviours in children.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Be an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team to deliver a high quality service.
• Contribute to creating a positive ethos and supportive environment for children and staff.
