Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting for an Early Learning and Childcare Support role based at Calderside Nursery Centre. You will assist in developing young children, working closely with the team to deliver a high-quality learning environment.

The post requires NC in Early Education and Childcare and SVQ qualifications; support to obtain these qualifications will be provided by the council. This is a temporary one-year position with a focus on inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• NC in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6
• SVQ 2 Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 6
• SVQ 2 Children's Care Learning and Development at SCQF Level 2
• Support will be provided to successful candidates who don't hold a relevant qualification, to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within our Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Work as an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team, delivering a high-quality service.
