Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council Careers is seeking enthusiastic staff to support learning and development in Early Learning and Childcare settings. You will work as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service and promote a positive ethos for children and staff.

The role requires SSSC registration as a support worker and a relevant qualification, with training provided to those who need it. A fixed-term or permanent posting with a 35-hour week is available in Halfmerke Community Nursery, Scotland.

Qualifications

• Post requires registering with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a support worker and holding a relevant qualification.
• Qualifications listed: NC in Early Education and Childcare (SCQF Level 6); SVQ 2 Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF Level 6); SVQ 2 Children\'s Care Learning and Development (SCQF Level 2).
• Support will be provided to successful candidates who do not hold a relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of young children within Early Learning and Childcare establishments.
• Work as an effective member of the Early Learning and Childcare Team to deliver a high-quality service.
• Assist with recruitment checks and related safeguarding processes where needed.
