Job summary

IvyHouse Nursery in Farnham is seeking an experienced Early Years Room Leader to oversee a busy room and lead a small team. You’ll provide high-quality care and development, plan engaging activities, and work closely with parents and the management team.

With a minimum Level 3 qualification and nursery experience, you’ll create a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years, maintaining strong safeguarding and teamwork across the setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Nursery/early years setting experience.
• Experience with children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team within the room.
• Provide high-quality care, learning and development opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to each child.
• Support observations, assessments and next steps for children.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed.
• Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Collaborate with the Nursery Manager and wider team.
