IvyHouse Nursery in Thames Ditton is seeking an experienced Baby Room Leader to manage the day-to-day operations of the baby room and lead a small team. You'll care for children from 3 months old and ensure a high standard of nurture and learning.

The role offers 40 hours per week (4 days), with shifts from 7:30am to 6:30pm, and rewards a warm, supportive environment with opportunities to develop your leadership skills and progress within the nursery.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Nursery/early years experience preferred.
• Experience caring for babies (from 3 months).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support a small team within the baby room.
• Provide high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for babies 3 months and up.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to babies' needs.
• Support observations, assessments and next steps for children.
• Ensure safeguarding and nursery policies are followed.
• Create a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Collaborate with the Nursery Manager and wider team.
