Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified reception teacher for a long-term, part-time role in Handsworth (B21). Start November 2026, end July 2027, attendance only on Thursdays and Fridays. The post requires QTS, strong EYFS understanding, and an Enhanced DBS (update service). Salary will follow the client’s pay policy and candidate experience.

Experience in Reception and EYFS is preferred, with collaboration with school staff and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and Reception curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
• Willingness to complete relevant training when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and inclusive environment for early years pupils.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Reception.
• Adapt teaching and plans for children with SEND.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil outcomes.
