Job summary

Academics is seeking an experienced EYFS/Reception teacher for Havering, London, to start October or November 2026. This 2-form entry primary school offers a well-resourced EYFS department, supportive SLT, and a vibrant learning environment.

The role is a long-term maternity cover through July 2027 with a move to a permanent contract from July/August 2027. ECTs welcome; you will deliver an engaging curriculum and be part of a team committed to high standards and excellent CPD.

Qualifications

• Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Experience teaching EYFS/Reception and familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
• QTS certification is required; ECTs will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an engaging and rich EYFS curriculum to foster high aspirations.
• Create a warm, nurturing classroom environment in a 2-form entry school.
• Collaborate with supportive SLT and EYFS staff to monitor pupil progress.
