Job summary

AWD online is seeking an experienced Early Years Improvement Officer to drive quality improvement across a range of early years settings. You will coach leaders and practitioners, deliver targeted training and help schools, nurseries and childminders improve outcomes in the EYFS.

The post requires QTS and deep EYFS knowledge, with strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to travel across the county.

Qualifications

• Significant experience of teaching in an early years’ education setting.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Early Years Teacher Status or Early Years Professional Status (EYTS/EYPS).
• Experience of supporting early years practitioners to improve practice and outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and related policy.

Responsibilities

• Support and challenge EYFS leaders and practitioners across settings to improve provision and outcomes.
• Develop and deliver high-quality training for EYFS practitioners.
• Strengthen curriculum planning and assessment within the EYFS to meet statutory requirements.
• Provide advice and support for Ofsted readiness and inspection readiness.
• Coordinate early years projects and work with partners to deliver improvement plans.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships across schools and children’s services.
• Analyse needs and produce concise evaluative reports and action plans.
