Job summary

Academics is seeking Level 3 Nursery Nurses to support schools and nurseries across Wakefield and Pontefract, offering flexible, day-to-day, short-term, long-term and permanent roles.

Whether newly qualified or experienced, you’ll join a growing team with ongoing consultant support and opportunities to build your Early Years career across a variety of welcoming settings.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years
• Paediatric First Aid certificate required
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

Responsibilities

• Supporting children's learning through play and engaging activities

What You'll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years
• Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for supporting young children’s learning and development
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

Desirable

• Experience working in nurseries, schools, or children’s centres
• Experience supporting children from birth to five years
• Knowledge of child development and safeguarding procedures
• A flexible and positive approach to working in different settings
