Job summary

Tommies Childcare Limited is seeking dedicated Nursery Practitioners to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 0–5. You will support early development and learning while maintaining professional and compassionate care.

Role involves planning engaging activities, supervising children, recording progress, and upholding health and safety standards in a caring nursery setting. Excellent English communication is essential for working with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and childcare best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with organising activities that promote learning through play.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in accordance with early childhood education standards.
• Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, always ensuring their safety.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
• Oversee daily routines including arrival and departure procedures.
• Support colleagues in managing behavioural issues using appropriate strategies.
• Contribute to nursery events and activities promoting socialisation and learning.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery environment.
