Freshlings Nursery is seeking a dedicated early years practitioner to support a safe, healthy and inclusive environment for children aged 0-5. You will engage in play-based learning, observe and plan for individual development, and collaborate with families and colleagues to deliver high-quality care.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, confidentiality, and working as part of a supportive team within University Commercial Services Plymouth Ltd (UCSPL).

Qualifications

• Paediatric First Aid certification required.
• Teamwork and collaborative working within a nursery setting.
• Experience or ability to work with children aged 0–5 in a nursery environment.
• Ability to observe, assess and plan for individual children within EYFS.
• Experience handling confidential information and safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Observe, assess and plan for children to meet their individual needs, supporting their learning and development in the seven areas of the EYFS/current curriculum.
• To be a play partner to children, engaging in sustained shared thinking.
• Undertakes the role of Key Person, producing Learning Journeys for individuals in partnership with parents, children, carers, and colleagues.
