Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group Andover Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support children from babies to preschool age with play-based learning. You’ll help children feel secure, belong and learn through engaging activities in a bright, outdoor-friendly setting.

You’ll work with Level 2/3 qualifications or be studying towards one, with flexible casual hours to fit life outside work. Safeguarding and EYFS are core to the role.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, are working towards one, or have transferable experience.
• Caring, patient, dependable and enthusiastic about helping children thrive
• Able to follow the EYFS framework and complete observations and records
• Willing to undertake safer-recruitment checks, including Enhanced DBS

• Support children's confidence, independence and emotional development.
• Create engaging opportunities to learn through play.
