Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a dedicated childcare practitioner in Greater London to provide high quality day care and early education within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to planning and delivering an anti-discriminatory curriculum, support individual children's development through observations and records, and assist with transitions from home to centre. This role requires safeguarding duties and basic care tasks to keep children safe and well.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality integrated day care and early education within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Contribute to planning and delivery of a high quality early years curriculum with a commitment to anti-discriminatory practice.
• Promote children's development in a secure, safe and stimulating environment.
• Assist with assessment of children's development through observations and recording developmental progress.
• Support colleagues as a key worker for a specific group of children and manage transitions from home to centre and vice versa.
• Effectively manage behaviours in line with procedures and implement interventions for children with additional needs.
• Provide appropriate physical care including washing, toileting, changing, feeding, dressing, comforting and administering medication.
• Work with safeguarding procedures and report concerns to centre managers.
• Assist with organising outings for children's interest, education and safety.
