Job summary

Inspired Education's Fulham Pre-Prep is seeking a caring Early Years Practitioner to join the team, supporting teaching and learning for children aged 2–7 in the private early years programme. You will work with class teachers to create a safe, engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity, independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and strong experience with 2–5-year-olds.
• Experience of working with children and families, identifying support for developing children’s learning.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Experience of teaching and delivering planned learning experiences.
• Good knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted EIF and current legislation.
• Understanding of developmental needs of young children, especially 2–5-year-olds.
• Understanding of quality early education environments.
• Good observational and assessment skills and keeping learning records.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Be a highly motivated early years’ practitioner, modelling excellent practice to children.
• Be mindful of EYFS initiatives and legislation in your practice.
• Maintain consistently high expectations of what children can achieve and support learning.
• Understand child development for the age group and communicate knowledge.
• Gather assessment information and share with parents or professionals.
• Use assessments to plan teaching and support identified children.
• Develop strong relationships with parents and provide progress information.
• Be a reflective practitioner and monitor/improve practice.
• Write accurate reports using EYFS outcomes and relevant documents.
