Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a Nursery Practitioner in Sutton Coldfield. We have full-time and part-time roles offering flexibility to fit your availability. You’ll support children aged 0-5 with high-quality care and education, working as part of a caring team to help each child reach their potential.

Level 2/3 in Early Years/Childcare is essential; Paediatric First Aid is desirable. EYFS knowledge and safeguarding commitment are important for this role.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Early Years/Childcare qualification required; essential.
• Paediatric First Aid desirable to have.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is preferred.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS framework is advantageous.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support learning, development and wellbeing of 0–5 year olds within EYFS.
• Provide high-quality care in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Plan activities that promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
• Recognise each child’s needs and adapt accordingly.
• Foster confidence, independence and communication in children.
• Help plan and deliver activities that support development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and promote welfare of all children.
