Job summary

Tuebrook Tots Day Nursery in Tuebrook, Liverpool is offering an Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship. You will plan activities for children aged 0-5, help ensure safety and support EYFS delivery, under the guidance of a Room Leader. You’ll join a professional team and gain on-the-job training through Realise.

The programme includes off-the-job learning (20%) within the working day and an opportunity to progress to Level 3 EYPS upon completion.

Qualifications

• Grades 4 or equivalent in Maths and English is desirable but not essential.
• Kindness is valued in the role.
• Considerate, punctual and reliable behaviour is expected.
• Willingness to learn and follow guidance from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Planning educational and fun activities for children 0-5 years.
• Ensuring the setting is safe for children, staff and others.
• Supporting the implementation of the EYFS.
• Taking instruction from your Room Leader.
• Maintaining confidentiality in the nursery.
• Promoting equal opportunities regardless of background.
• Keeping developmental records and observations up to date.
• Following nursery policies and risk assessments.
• Attending staff training and monthly meetings.
• Carrying out duties like nappy changes, laundry and snacks/meals as directed.
