Job summary

First Class Nursery School in Prenton invites applications for an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice. You will support welfare, safety and development of children, reporting safeguarding concerns when needed.

You will assist in planning and delivering engaging play activities in line with EYFS, helping with literacy, numeracy and language development, while building strong partnerships with parents. Your trainer assessor will guide you, and you will complete a reflective journal as you progress

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above preferred but not essential.
• Kind, caring, dedicated.
• Must have valid DBS clearance and be familiar with safeguarding obligations.

Responsibilities

• Support welfare, safety and development of children, reporting safeguarding concerns as needed.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging play activities in line with EYFS.
• Support children through key transitions and promote healthy lifestyle choices through play.
• Engage with parents, colleagues and external agencies to meet each child’s needs.
