Job summary

Playtots Nursery Group in Liverpool is seeking a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprentice to support the care, learning and development of children aged 0-5. You will work under supervision and gain on-the-job training.

The role offers hands-on experience, mentoring from experienced staff, and a clear path to a Level 2 qualification, with 20% off-the-job learning included as part of the working day.

Qualifications

• GCSE grades 4 or below are desired but not essential.
• Kind, caring, reliable and responsible attributes are important.
• Willingness to learn and develop Early Years knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support the care, learning and development of children aged 0-5 years.
• Help provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for all children.
• Assist with play activities and planned learning experiences that support children's development.
• Support children with personal care routines, including hygiene and meal times.
• Observe children's progress and contribute to development records and assessments.
• Help set up and tidy activities, ensuring the nursery remains clean, safe and welcoming.
• Work under the guidance and supervision of experienced Early Years practitioners.
