Job summary

The Nest Nursery at Eton End School in Datchet, near Slough, is seeking a motivated Early Years Practitioner. You will plan and deliver play-based learning, support development through the EYFS, and work with a caring team in a welcoming independent school setting.

Qualifications

• DfE-approved Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS, child development and safeguarding.
• Caring, enthusiastic and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with each child’s interests.
• Create a safe, stimulating environment encouraging exploration and confidence.
• Observe, assess and track progress using the EYFS framework.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Support emotional wellbeing, communication, independence and social development.
• Maintain accurate observations and learning records for future planning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.
• Leverage links with the wider school to support seamless progression.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety and children's wellbeing as priorities.
• Contribute ideas to grow and develop the nursery.
