YMCA Fairthorne Group Andover Nursery is seeking warm, patient Early Years Practitioners to support children’s learning through play-based activities.

We offer full-time roles (40 hours over four days with 4 days off weekly) and part-time roles up to 30 hours with a flexible rota. Applicants with Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications, or working towards one, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or be working towards one.
• Caring, patient and dependable with a passion for helping children thrive.
• Able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive, play-based learning and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Build warm and secure relationships with children.
• Help children feel they belong and support their independence.
• Support children's confidence, emotional development and communication skills.
• Create engaging play-based learning opportunities tied to children’s interests.
• Observe development and use insights to plan next steps.
• Collaborate with colleagues and share good practice to maintain a supportive nursery environment.
