Job summary

YMCA Fairthorne Group Andover Nursery is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to support children from babies to preschoolers in a play-based learning environment. The role offers flexible casual hours, helping you balance family and life while making a positive impact.

We welcome Level 2/3 practitioners, those studying towards a qualification, and candidates from education, SEND, youth work or care backgrounds who value safeguarding and inclusive practice. £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• Qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner.
• Studying towards an Early Years qualification.
• Experience in education, SEND, youth work, healthcare, coaching, community services or care.

Responsibilities

• Build warm and secure relationships with children.
• Help every child feel that they belong.
• Support children’s confidence, independence and emotional development.
• Create engaging opportunities to learn through play.
• Observe children’s development and use what you learn to support what comes next.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive nursery environment.
