Job summary

Perry Wood Primary School in Worcester is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a fixed-term contract spanning two terms from January 2027.

You will support the Nursery Teacher with EYFS delivery, provide individual and small-group support, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and assist with routines, welfare, and safeguarding. DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Pre-School) is essential.
• A relevant level qualification or equivalent experience in child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Provide individual and small-group support to foster emotional, social, and academic development.
• Maintain an engaging, well-organised indoor and outdoor classroom space.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including welfare, personal care, and safety.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and active engagement among pupils.
