Job summary

Westwood Primary School is seeking a dedicated EYFS Support Assistant for a fixed-term contract running for 38 weeks a year until 31 August 2027. The role is 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:15, supporting individual learners and small groups under teacher guidance.

You will adapt planned activities, promote inclusion for pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs, support wellbeing and personal care as required, and monitor progress while feeding back to teachers

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the EYFS for individuals and small groups
• Deliver and adapt planned learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff
• Promote inclusion and provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning, communication, behavioural or physical needs
• Support children's wellbeing, independence, personal care and positive behaviour as required
• Monitor progress, give feedback to teachers, and liaise with families and external professionals
