Perry Wood Primary School in Worcester is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team on a fixed-term contract spanning two terms from January 2027.

You will support the Nursery Teacher with EYFS delivery, provide individual and small-group support, maintain a safe and engaging classroom, and assist with routines, welfare, and safeguarding. DBS check required.

Formación

• Experience in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Pre-School) is essential.
• A relevant level qualification or equivalent experience in child development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

The Role

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality early years education and nurturing a safe, inspiring learning environment for our youngest children.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Provide individual and small-group support to foster children's emotional, social, and academic development.
• Help maintain an engaging, well-organised indoor and outdoor classroom space.
• Assist with day-to-day nursery routines, including welfare, personal care, and safety.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and active engagement among pupils.

Requirements

• Direct experience working in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Pre-School) is essential.
• A relevant level qualification or equivalent experience in child development.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning journeys.
