Job summary

Harvington C of E First & Nursery School is seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant with Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications. The role supports the nursery aged 2 years 9 months to 4 years, leading a keyworker group and assisting with planning and assessment.

This is a 30-hour week position, Monday to Friday, during term time, with a DBS requirement. The successful candidate will contribute to outstanding learning opportunities and be committed to the school’s ethos of friendship, truthfulness,

Salary: £18,822 - £19,121 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3pm in Nursery (30 minute lunch break) 30 hours per week

We wish to appoint a skilled NurseryTeaching Assistant with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification. The role will require a good working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted requirements.The successful candidate will be expected to lead a keyworker group and be responsible for supporting, planning and assessment and managing outstanding learning opportunities for our nursery children (aged from 2 year 9 months to 4).

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Have a relevant Early Years Level 2 or 3 qualification
• Have an understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures and ensuring the welfare of the children
• Have recent experience of working within an Early Years setting
• Be a friendly face who can relate warmly to children
• Be a team player, who is committed to their own professional development
• Support the Christian ethos of our school
