Job summary

Shortstown Primary School, part of HEART Academies Trust, seeks an Early Years Practitioner to provide safe, high-quality care for preschool children and help implement policies and routines in a supportive team. You will act as a Key worker, monitor learning against EYFS expectations, and promote a positive learning environment within a collaborative setting.

Holders of a Level 2 qualification with experience working with young children are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Hold the relevant Level 2 qualification.
• Experience of working with young children.
• Experience of communicating effectively at all levels.
• Ability to promote positive discipline in line with the ethos of the school.
• Experience of motivating pupils to develop to their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high quality education and care for pre-school children.
• Fulfil legal and statutory requirements.
• Contribute to and implement school and preschool policies.
• Be part of a successful team.
• Ensure the pre-school is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times.
• Support the work and beliefs of the pre-school by adhering to the school and preschool ethos, values, policies, procedures and staff code of conduct.
