Job summary

Shortstown Primary School, part of HEART Academies Trust, seeks an Early Years Practitioner to provide safe, high-quality care for preschool children and help implement policies and routines in a supportive team. You will act as a Key worker, monitor learning against EYFS expectations, and promote a positive learning environment within a collaborative setting.

Holders of a Level 2 qualification with experience working with young children are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Hold the relevant Level 2 qualification.
Experience of working with young children.
Experience of communicating effectively at all levels.
Ability to promote positive discipline in line with the ethos of the school.
Experience of motivating pupils to develop to their full potential.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, high quality education and care for pre-school children.
Fulfil legal and statutory requirements.
Contribute to and implement school and preschool policies.
Be part of a successful team.
Ensure the pre-school is a safe environment for children, that equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times.
Support the work and beliefs of the pre-school by adhering to the school and preschool ethos, values, policies, procedures and staff code of conduct.
