Bright Horizons Haddenham Day Nursery is seeking an Early Years Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation for children, ensure safe kitchen practices and cater to dietary needs. The role requires prior cooking experience, food safety knowledge and strong communication with staff and families.

The position is based in Haddenham, Bucks, with a 12:00–17:00 shift on four weekdays. Salary is £13.45 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience, with benefits including childcare discount

Qualifications

• Food Safety L2+ or above required.
• COSHH knowledge required.
• Strong communication with colleagues, children and parents.
• Ability to manage dietary requirements and allergies.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef in preparing and cooking age-appropriate meals.
• In the Chef's absence, run the kitchen and ensure hygiene and safety.
• Communicate dietary needs clearly to teams and parents.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen with minimal wastage.
