Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is recruiting four Inclusion Mentors to join the Early Years Inclusion and SEND team. The role focuses on building confident, capable settings and strengthening inclusive practice for learners with SEND and related needs.

You will mentor staff, provide practical strategies and support, and work under pressure to meet deadlines while collaborating with the team to improve outcomes for children in early years settings.

Qualifications

• You will hold a qualification relevant to the role, equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or above.
• Recent successful experience as a teaching assistant or similar role with pupils facing barriers to learning.
• Experience working with Early Years settings and schools staff to strengthen intervention and SEND support.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach staff in schools and early years settings to build inclusive practice.
• Provide practical advice on strategies, resources and provision to support SEND.
• Influence practice at an earlier stage through training and coaching.
