Job summary

Bright Horizons in Leeds is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for children, staff and families. You will keep the children's bathroom and nappy-change areas spotless, handle daily laundry, and assist with nursery tasks such as mealtime support and equipment cleaning.

We welcome applicants with prior cleaning experience in domestic or commercial settings, and you must have Food Safety CIEH L2 or above on day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property.
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) - this must be passed on day 1 in post
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents

Responsibilities

• Keep nursery clean and safe for children, staff, and families.
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Support over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

Job description

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.
