Job summary

Bright Horizons Little Stars Day Nursery in Harwell is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for children and staff. You will manage daily cleaning, laundry and assist with occasional nursery tasks.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm. Requirements include previous cleaning experience, Food Safety L2, COSHH knowledge and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
• Food Safety L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents

Responsibilities

• Keep nursery clean and safe for children, colleagues and families.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in bathrooms and nappy change areas.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Help with additional nursery tasks, including supporting mealtimes and cleaning equipment.

We’re looking for an Early Years Housekeeper to join our lLittle Stars Nursery. The beautiful 63 place nursery is proudly rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is based in Didcot with onsite parking and good transport links. The Role

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
