Job summary

Bright Horizons Little Stars Day Nursery in Harwell, near Didcot, is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for children. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness in bathrooms and play areas, handle daily laundry, and support nursery tasks as needed.

The role offers a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:30pm) with a welcoming benefits package and good transport links from Didcot.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property.
• Food Safety Level 2 (CIEH) or above – day 1 in post.
• COSHH and Health and Safety knowledge.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Keep nursery clean and safe for children and staff.
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness in bathrooms and changing areas.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Support with mealtimes and equipment cleaning.

Salary – Starting from £27,976 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for an Early Years Housekeeper to join our lLittle Stars Nursery. The beautiful 63 place nursery is proudly rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is based in Didcot with onsite parking and good transport links. The Role

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property

• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post

• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements

• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
