Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper for our Tingley nursery in Stourton, Leeds. The role focuses on keeping the environment clean and safe for children, with daily laundry, hygiene of bathrooms, and occasional support during mealtimes.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 or above required.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, children and parents.
• Solid knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep the nursery clean and safe for children, colleagues and families.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in bathrooms and nappies area.
• Carry out daily laundry and assist with mealtime and other nursery tasks as needed.

You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.What we’re looking forPrevious experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial propertyFood Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in postSound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirementsGreat communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parentsBright Horizons is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
