Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe nursery environment for children, staff and families. You will uphold high standards of cleanliness in bathrooms and nappy change areas, carry out daily laundry, and support nursery tasks as needed.

Requirements include previous cleaning experience in domestic or commercial settings, Food Safety Level 2 or above (to be completed on day 1), COSHH and Health & Safety knowledge, and strong communication with

• Enhanced DBS check required before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Keep nursery clean and safe for children, staff and families.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in children's bathrooms and nappy areas.
• Carry out daily laundry as required.
• Assist with nursery tasks during mealtimes and equipment cleaning.

Job description

As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children's bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

• Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) - this must be passed on day 1 in post
• Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
• Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
