Job summary

Bright Horizons Dandelions Day Nursery and Preschool in Andover is seeking an Early Years Housekeeper for a part-time role (20 hours weekly, Mon–Fri). You will maintain a clean, safe environment for children, staff and families, keeping bathrooms and nappies hygienic and assisting with mealtimes and general nursery tasks.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property.
  • Food Safety L2 or above (must be passed on day 1).
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Great communication skills with colleagues, children and parents.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the nursery clean and safe for children, colleagues and families.
  • Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene in children’s bathrooms and nappy areas.
  • Carry out daily laundry as required.
  • Assist with additional nursery tasks such as mealtimes and equipment cleaning.

Salary – Starting from £12.75 per hour (dependant on experience) Location – Andover

The Role As an Early Years Housekeeper, you will keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, colleagues, and families. You will maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day, carry out daily laundry as required, and be prepared to help with additional nursery tasks where required, such as supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment.

What we’re looking for
  • Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
  • Great communication skills, with colleagues, children, and parents
