Qualifications

• The candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Completion of a 'Keeping Children Safe' Form is required.
• A DBS check is mandatory.
• Two satisfactory employment references are needed.
• Some roles may also require a 5-year employment history.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and clean environment for children.
• Demonstrate best practices to colleagues and be a role model.
• Engage with parents and provide concise end-of-day handovers.
• Plan and deliver activities that support children’s development.

Job description

Hours: 30 hours+

What you’ll be doing

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for both our children and families.
• Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Be a role model for the children at all times, while demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for all key children, ensuring targets are met and detailed, relevant accounts are provided for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays and an inviting layout.
• Attend both in‑house and external training, as required, which may include outside working hours such as weekends.
• Assist in thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of indoor and outdoor activities to maintain children’s interests and support development in line with their needs.
• Attend all staff events, including parents’ evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of which may be outside regular hours and on weekends.
