Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator to join our Mapperley team in Nottingham. You will bring energy, creativity, and care to daily activities and support children’s development within the EYFS framework.

This role involves 30-40 hours per week in our community-focused nursery, with opportunities for professional development and internal progression. A DBS and safeguarding checks are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator with energy, creativity and care.
• Commitment to safeguarding and EYFS principles.
• Ability to work as part of a team to support children's development.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service for children and families.
• Ensure the environment is safe, secure and clean, adhering to safeguarding policies.
• Be a role model for children and demonstrate best practice to colleagues.
• Welcome parents and carers with a warm, informative handover at the end of the day.
• Plan and deliver a variety of indoor and outdoor activities aligned with children’s needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
• Ensure the children’s environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.
• Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for all your key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.
• Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.
• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children’s interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.
