Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries in the United Kingdom is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator to join our family-run business. You will help deliver high-quality care and education to our children, following EYFS guidelines.

You will work 30-40 hours per week in Ruddington, applying energy, creativity, and warmth while supporting safeguarding and development activities. We value professional growth, teamwork, and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Early Years Educator with current DBS check.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the childcare team to provide excellent service to children and families.
• Keep the environment safe, secure, and clean, following safeguarding policies.
• Be a role model for the children and demonstrate best practice.
• Welcome parents and carers with a warm handover at the end of the day.
• Plan and deliver a variety of activities indoors and outdoors in line with EYFS.
• Maintain inviting room presentation with organized resources.
• Attend training and staff events, some outside normal hours.

Cherubs Ruddington is a rural 55-place nursery just outside Nottingham. Being a car driver is essential to be part of this established and outdoor/forest-school focused team.

What you'll be doing

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
• Ensure the children's environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.
• Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for all your key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.
• Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.
• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children's interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.
