Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is seeking a Qualified Early Years Educator to join our caring team. Hours are 30-40 per week, with a focus on energy, creativity and safeguarding to support children’s development.

Established in 1993, Cherubs Nurseries is a family-run group offering professional development, supportive teams and opportunities to transfer internally across nurseries. A driver is essential for Cherubs Longdale location in Ravenshead.

Qualifications

• Must be a Qualified Early Years Educator.
• Experience with EYFS and safeguarding processes.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom with DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Childcare Team to provide an amazing service, for both our children and families.
• Ensure the children's environment and your nursery is kept safe, secure and clean at all times ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to.
• Be a role model for the children at all times, whilst demonstrating best practice to your colleagues.
• Give parents and carers a warm welcome and concise handover at the end of the day.
• Complete Nursery In A Box for all your key children, ensuring you meet targets and provide detailed and relevant accounts for each child, underpinned by the EYFS.
• Take pride in your room and nursery, ensuring it is presented well with organised resources, engaging displays with an inviting layout.
• Attend both in-house and external training, as required. Some of this may be outside of working hours, for example on a weekend.
• Assist in the thorough planning and successful delivery of a variety of activities (both indoor and outdoor) to maintain the children's interests and to ensure the development of all children in-line with their own needs.
• Attend all staff events including parents evening, staff meetings and summer fairs, some of these may be out of hours and on weekends.

Cherubs Longdale is a modern, rural 90-place nursery in Ravenshead, Nottingham. Being a car driver is essential to be part of this established and long-serving team. Set in just under an acre of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, with some bus links.
